Every effort is made to be fair and consistent in the process of enrollment at Shenandoah Preschool. Your first choice class request will be our priority, but we reserve the right to juggle rosters in order to maintain boy/girl ratios and other important factors when building a successful class. As in past years, the teachers’ class assignments are not set in stone, so please choose a class based on meeting frequency and not on a particular teacher. Forms should be completed and returned to the Preschool Director. A non-refundable registration and supply fee of $125.00 is due with the application. This fee is waived for Trinity United Methodist Church members.

Class Information

Toddler Classes: These classes are designed for children who are 2 years old or will be 2 by September 30. The goal for this class includes socialization, encouraging creativity and curiosity, enhancing language skills and interactive play. One class will meet on Monday/Wednesday mornings and another on Tuesday/Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 12:00.

Discovery Classes: These classes are designed for children who are 3 years old or will be 3 by September 30. Most children are experiencing preschool for the first time. Emphasis in this class is primarily on social development though age appropriate academic skills are covered. Interactive play and hands-on experiences are important for this age group. We offer a M/W/F class, a T/Th class, and a T-F class, meeting from 8:30 to 12:00.

Pre-Kindergarten Classes: These classes are designed for children who will be 4 by Sept. 30 or who are 5 years old and will attend Kindergarten the next year. The Pre-K class will help develop academic and social skills in preparation for a successful Kindergarten year. This class meets 4 mornings (M-Th) or 5 mornings each week from 8:30 to 12:00.
